Vehicle, driver sought in connection with deadly South Side hit-and-run crash

CHICAGO (WGN) – Chicago police are searching for the driver and vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash on the South Side.

Police said the crash happened at around 4 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 3 in the 300 block of West 76th Street near South Stewart Avenue in Auburn Park.

A 31-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed by the vehicle pictured below, which is believed to have been a dark-colored SUV, according to investigators.

The year of the SUV and tag number are unknown.
