Chessa Bouche said that what stands out most to her about this year’s LSU football team is the talent and depth. LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly has openly talked about how this year’s roster is the most talented one he has had since arriving in Baton Rouge, and it’s very evident in fall camp. From top to bottom, this roster has a strong mixture of veteran experience and young, talented players on both sides of the football.
Geaux Nation Sports Director Brian Holland said he has been most impressed with the Tigers’ secondary throughout fall camp. For more than a decade, LSU has been referred to as Defensive Backs University, or simply put, “DBU.” A big reason for that is the Godfather of DBU, Corey Raymond. Since the return of Coach Raymond, LSU has brought in some elite talent to help its secondary. Holland said this unit reminds him of the 2018 class.
