ALABAMA/TENNESSEE (WHNT) — A charity softball game held in Fort Payne helped raise over $20,000 for local area food banks.

According to Environmental Solutions Group and the Heli Co., teams came together on August 1 at the Fort Payne Sports Complex for a spirited charity softball game.

The game was a “home run for hunger relief,” ES said.

It was more than just a competition. “It was a powerful and united show of support for community members facing hunger,” ES said.
