Large law enforcement presence spotted outside south suburban home

ROBBINS, Ill. (WGN) — A large number of law enforcement officers have gathered outside of a home in south suburban Robbins early Friday morning amid an apparent investigation.

Law enforcement could be seen positioned outside the home, located near South Claire Boulevard and Maxey Court, at around 6:30 a.m.

While it is unclear exactly what led officers to the area, several squad cars, including some from the Cook County Sheriff’s department, were spotted on the scene, as well as multiple officers as they surrounded a white tent that was in the middle of the road.

Additionally, police tape appears to have blocked off a portion of the road surrounding the tent.

SkyCam 9 was over the scene around 6:30 when officers could be spotted working the scene as bystanders gathered nearby.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the heavy police presence.
