KFC brings back fan-favorite potato wedges, hot wings

DALLAS (KDAF) — People called, and the Colonel is answering. Starting August 18, KFC’s Potato Wedges and Hot & Spicy Wings are officially back at restaurants nationwide, available while supplies last.

Wedges Make a Crispy Comeback

First introduced in the mid-1990s, KFC’s Potato Wedges earned cult status before their controversial removal in 2020. Thousands of fans petitioned for their return, and a recent surprise drop in Tampa proved the love is still strong—some locations sold out early.

Wings Return

Hot & Spicy Wings are also back after nearly two years. Marinated and double hand-breaded in KFC’s Extra Crispy™ flour, they deliver bold flavor and crunch. Pair them with wedges or try the new six-piece Wings & Wedges Combo with a medium drink.

Secret Recipe Fries remain on the menu for those still loyal to “team fry.”
