The spokesperson told KNWA/FOX24 that 30 ADH employees were notified that their positions with the department would be terminated effective Nov. 1.
The employees whose jobs were being cut include 13 in the Hometown Health Support Services program, eight in the Public Health Emergency Preparedness program, six in the Office of Health Disparities Elimination and three in the Office of Performance Management, Quality Improvement and Evaluation.
The cuts were made as part of a broader restructuring effort to better align the department’s resources with its budget priorities and long-term goals, the spokesperson said.
“This decision was made after careful evaluation of budget considerations and operational needs, and to streamline processes and reduce redundancy to improve efficiency,” the spokesperson told KNWA/FOX24.
The spokesperson confirmed that terminated employees will be given priority consideration for other positions within the state government during the 90-day transition period and up to one year after their termination.
