The proposed project calls for the demolition of the existing structures located on the northeast corner of 30th & Topeka Blvd. Redevelopment of the site includes construction of one developer owned quick service restaurant and up to two commercial buildings to be owned by a third party.
Developers estimate the total budget of the project to be $19.31 million with approximately $9.24 million to be paid by the developer. The maximum reimbursement amount will be $5.4 million.
Potential developers includes Batis Development Company, who works with clients like Starbucks, Panera, Chipotle and Qdoba. Commencement date for the TIF is set at January 1, 2028, and the quick service restaurant will be open no later than December 31, 2028.
