The Minnesota State Patrol said a 21-year-old woman was killed Tuesday after her vehicle hit a guardrail and then another vehicle on Interstate 694 in Arden Hills.
According to the crash report from the State Patrol, a white Subaru Legacy with three occupants was travelling west on Interstate 694 at Highway 10 around 6:26 p.m.
The State Patrol said the Subaru crossed from the right lane to the left shoulder of the road and made contact with the guardrail, causing the vehicle to roll over and make contact with a Honda CR-V.
The driver of the Honda, the vehicle’s lone occupant, was not injured in the crash.
However, the driver of the Subaru, Fatuma Yussuf Sharif-Isaack of Brooklyn Park, was killed as a result of the crash. State Patrol said she had not been wearing her seatbelt when the crash occured.
The two other occupants of the vehicles, a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
