The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said officers responded to a car crash in the 15400 block of Weldin Road on Aug. 8 at around 10 p.m.
Officers found out that the driver, Amy Baker, had crashed into a parked car, causing her car to turn over. She and her 5-year-old child had to be rescued from the car.
There were only minor injuries.
PWCPD determined that Baker was intoxicated during the crash.
Baker was arrested and charged with felony child neglect, driving after forfeiture of license and driving while intoxicated: second offense in five years.
