Utah Fire Info reports the Deer Creek Fire, which began on July 10, is now 100% contained as of 7 p.m. Monday. An aerial reconnaissance flight showed their was no smoke in the area, and an overnight infrared flight showed no heat.
With the fire fully contained, all evacuation orders have been lifted in San Juan County and Montrose County in Colorado.
Firefighters will continue to be on site monitoring and patrolling the fire over the next few days to make sure there are no other concerns. Residents and visitors are asked to use caution as firefighting equipment will still be on roadways.
