There’s one main area to monitor in the tropics – a tropical wave that has just exited the African coast has a high chance of development and could turn into a tropical depression later tonight or Monday. The next name up is Erin. This system is still a week and a half away from being able to affect the U.S. and there is still many questions to answer in the days ahead about its path first before we would ever need to be concerned with it. Otherwise, we will also monitor a weak low that looks to spin up in the Gulf. It will bring increased rain chances to the northern Gulf Coast by Tuesday.
Locally, we will see increased rain chances for our area Tuesday and Wednesday. This will help keep temperatures in check. By Thursday, we see summertime heat and humidity return to the area with only one or two storms each afternoon.
