In the tropics, we are monitoring two areas. The first is a weak tropical wave that will likely get torn apart by wind shear and dry air. The second area, a tropical wave exiting Africa, has a high chance of development through the next week. It will work its way westward through the next week and a half. Where it goes exactly is still uncertain, but we have plenty of time to monitor it and there are no tropical threats to the area anytime soon.
Locally, we will be watching for a pretty typical summertime set up this week with daily storm chances and highs in the low and mid 90s. We will see slightly better rain chances by Tuesday and Wednesday as a disturbance skirts the coast. Still, temperatures are expected to reach 90 degrees both afternoons. Little chance is expected in our forecast through next weekend.
