Mandeville man facing multiple allegations involving drugs, cruelty to juveniles

MANDEVILLE, La. (WGNO) — A man allegedly found in possession of several drugs in the company of his young sibling, is now in deputy custody.

Detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office report that on Aug. 1, they arrested 21-year-old Lane Roberts while at a carwash.

According to STPSO Proactive Enforcement Unit, Roberts was allegedly found in possession of over two pounds of marijuana, more than 100 THC Vapes and THC edibles, with his 6-year-old sibling also in the vehicle.

A search of his home allegedly led detectives to find “a substantial inventory” of illegal drugs, large amount of cash, drug paraphernalia associated with packaging and distribution of illegal drugs as well as a semi-automatic handgun.

Altogether, STPSO detectives said they found and seized:

• Approximately 745 pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes
• Approximately 700 THC electronic smoking devices (THC Vapes)
• Approximately 3.25 pounds of THC crumble (THC concentrate)
• Approximately 1.2 ounces of THC Rosin (THC concentrate)
• Approximately 480 dosage unit THC edibles (THC gummies)
• Approximately 5.52 pounds of raw marijuana
• Approximately 1 pound (439.4 grams) of THCA crystals in THC Resin (High THC concentrate)
• $81,249 in suspected drug proceeds
• Glock model 19 9mm pistol
• An assortment of drug paraphernalia

Roberts has been booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on charges of:

• Attempted distribution of a schedule I CDS (marijuana) – Felony
• Attempted distribution of a schedule I CDS (THC vapes) – Felony
• Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I CDS (marijuana) – Felony
• Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I CDS (THC vapes) Felony
• Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses – Felony
• Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I CDS (THC wax) – Felony
• Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I CDS (edibles)- Felony
• Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I CDS (THC A crystals) -Felony
• Illegal carry of weapons – Felony
• Cruelty to juveniles, present for sale, distribution, or manufacturing CDS or attempted – Felony
• Possession of drug paraphernalia – Misdemeanor
