IBC: Netgear To Showcase Expanded Managed Switch Portfolio

At IBC 2025, (RAI Amsterdam, Sept. 12-15) at Stand 10.D33 Netgear will showcase its expanded M4350 managed switch portfolio. Four new models, designed specifically for broadcast and pro-AV applications, are now shipping. Visitors will see new features that accelerate deployment, simplify management and deliver the performance and reliability essential in professional media environments.

Expanded Netgear M4350 Portfolio for Broadcast and Pro AV
Featuring advanced capabilities ideal for IP-based installations, the four new M4350 switches address specific industry needs, particularly for live event and broadcast applications. Key features for all models include:

  • Multicolor LED Port Identification: This novel feature displays user-selected colors physically on each port, matching colors assigned in the Netgear AV OS. This innovation makes it easy for technicians to identify which cables should be connected to specific ports, simply by finding the corresponding LED color. Rapid port identification significantly simplifies deployment, reduces setup time, and decreases the risk of connection errors.
  • Enhanced SMPTE ST 2110 Support: All new M4350 models include built-in grandmaster clock and boundary clock functionality, which are critical for SMPTE ST 2110 broadcast applications, while maintaining transparent clock capabilities across the entire M4350 and M4250 switch lines. With this functionality, the latest Netgear AV managed switches can serve as the primary timing source for a broadcast network.
  • Secure Power Connection: Introduced with the latest M4350 switches, a new mechanism secures power cables to the chassis, preventing accidental disconnections during live events.
  • TAA Compliance: The new M4350 models all comply with the strict government policy regarding the Trade Agreement Act (TAA) to ensure products originate from approved countries.
