Just before 1:45 a.m., the Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) was called to the area of Dale Boulevard and Greenwood Drive.
There, they learned 41-year-old Gary Virgil Teman was riding his 2016 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide motorcycle and crossed through the intersection with Greenwood Drive when the roadway began to curve left. Police said he was not able to negotiate the curve and veered to the right.
He continued off the road and rear-ended an unoccupied parked car.
First responders said he died at the scene.
PWCPD noted that, at the time, Teman was operating the motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement.
Authorities encouraged anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the police as they continue to investigate.
