Minneapolis fire crews investigating possible arson at vacant building; no injuries reported

Minneapolis fire crews are investigating a possible arson that occurred overnight at a vacant building.

Firefighters were called to the fire around 12:45 a.m. at a building on the 4400 block of Bryant Avenue North. They found heavy fire at the back of the building extending up to the second floor.

Crews on scene told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that the fire spread quickly and the back of the building began to collapse. According to a post by the Department, the fire spread to the garage and fence.

An arson investigator was called to the scene, crews said no injuries were reported.
