Texas universities among NCAA’s Top 10 most expensive gamedays

DALLAS (KDAF) — Texas college football is a big deal across the Lone Star State, and according to a new study, two Texas universities rank among the most expensive gamedays, too.

The Oddspedia 2025 College Football Gameday Index reported that the Texas Longhorns now have the 3rd most expensive gameday in the NCAA at $292 for two fans, while Texas A&M comes in 8th with a $268 total. Those figures include two tickets, two beers, two sodas, two hot dogs, and parking.

The Longhorns climbed from 6th to 3rd this year, with the biggest driver being $212 for two tickets, fifth highest in the nation. Their total gameday cost rose 13.7% year-over-year, landing Texas nearly 60% above the national average.

The Aggies slipped in the rankings, but still hold the third most expensive gameday in the SEC. Tickets at Kyle Field average $164 for two, and fans face one of the priciest hot dog costs in the country, contributing to a 4.1% increase in total gameday spending.
