Junious Henderson III, 34, of Napoleonville, was charged with exploitation of the infirmed, theft and probation/parole detainer.
The Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs alerted the sheriff’s office on Feb. 3 about a large amount of money being taken out of an elderly woman’s bank account. The sheriff’s office said the woman could not take care of herself and was terminally ill.
Henderson, a relative of the woman, allegedly used the money for personal use. Financial documents led to Henderson being identified as a suspect in this case.
Henderson was arrested in Plattenville on July 29. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
He remains in jail after being given a bond amount of $100,000 for the exploitation of the infirmed and theft charges. APSO said he was also ordered to be held without bond for the probation and parole detainer.
