KLFY) – A fatal motorcycle crash claimed the life of 46-year-old Chad McClelland of Iota, on Louisiana Highway 26 in Jefferson Davis Parish.
The crash occurred shortly after 7 a.m. when McClelland, riding a 2023 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, lost control while navigating a curve, crossed into the southbound lane, and exited the roadway into a ditch.
Despite wearing a DOT-approved helmet, McClelland sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A standard toxicology sample was collected from McClelland for analysis, and the crash remains under investigation by the Louisiana State Police.
