Arvest Foundation awards $5,000 grant to support

School of New Hope in Marion County JZ

The Arvest Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to the School of New Hope in Yellville to support its ongoing mission of serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Marion County and surrounding areas.

The funds will be used to help with general operating expenses, allowing the organization to continue offering specialized education and support services. Founded in 1972, the School of New Hope was established to address the growing need for services for individuals with developmental disabilities in the region.

Arvest Bank associates Vickie Crisenbery and Katie Ratliff joined David McBee, sales manager for Arvest Bank – North Arkansas, in presenting the check on behalf of the foundation. School representatives receiving the grant included Vicki Stokes, Sandy Davenport, Cheryl Blasdel, George Lewis and Marcus Walser.

“Being able to support the School of New Hope in their mission of providing education and training to developmentally disabled individuals in Marion County is something that means a lot to me personally,” said McBee, who also serves on the organization’s board. “We are proud to stand alongside this organization as they continue to impact lives for years to come.”

Tammy Dearmore, director of the School of New Hope, expressed gratitude for the grant and the ongoing relationship with Arvest.

“The School of New Hope gratefully receives this generous contribution from Arvest Bank,” Dearmore said. “The partnership represents not just financial support but a shared commitment to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities and transforming lives in our community.”
