Nestled in the heart of Irving at 4150 N. MacArthur Blvd., the 400-acre resort has reemerged as a modern Texas retreat, featuring 427 guest rooms, suites and villas, a world-class spa, two 18-hole championship golf courses, six on-site dining destinations and 80,000 square feet of event space.
Among the reimagined experiences is Ritz Kids Cooking in Action, a program where children ages eight to 14 or as young as six with a parent get to cook side-by-side with the resort’s culinary team.
“We wanted to create something that’s not just fun, but meaningful,” said Alex Mobsby, chef de cuisine at Knife Italian, one of the resort’s signature restaurants.
“It’s an opportunity for kids to step behind the scenes, get hands-on in the kitchen, and really feel part of something special.”
The hour-long class includes a personalized apron, a photo with the chef, and a recipe they can take home. It’s available exclusively to resort guests and costs $55 per child. Reservations can be made in advance through the concierge or via Real Time Reservations.
“We designed this to create lasting memories,” Mobsby said. “Whether it’s their first time cracking an egg or they already love to cook, they walk away with a sense of accomplishment and a big smile.”
The program is part of the resort’s broader Ritz Kids initiative, offering curated experiences that cater to younger travelers while embracing the brand’s signature blend of luxury and warmth.
