The car was found on the dead end of MCO Road. TBI believes he may be in the area, and said nearby residents have been asked to lock their doors and be alert.
TBI said the last confirmed sighting of Drummond was Wednesday in Jackson, where he has connections.
Jackson Police said there were signs he may have been living in the vehicle.
There was large police presence as officers searched a wooded area near where the car was found Friday evening. Later, the search shifted to an apartment complex, the Villages of Campbell Oaks on Willow Oaks Lane.
In a news conference Friday, TBI appealed to Drummond and whoever may be assisting him to call TBI so he can be questioned.
Drummond is the suspect in the deaths of four family members found Tuesday in Lake County, Tennessee.
The bodies of James Wilson, 21, Adrianna Williams, 20, Cortney Rose, 38 and Braydon Williams, 15 were found along Carrington Road in Tiptonville.
An infant who was related to the victims was also found safe in front of a house in Dyer County. That’s when the investigation into the incident began.
TBI officials said this is believed to be a targeted attack.
Drummond is wanted on warrants for four counts of First Degree Murder, one count of Aggravated Kidnapping, four counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Dangerous Felony.
Police are still looking for Drummond, who authorities have said had been in a relationship with a relative of one of the victims.
Drummond has a previous conviction for an armed robbery charge. Court documents state that in 2013, when Drummond was 17 years old, he walked behind the register in a gas station in Jackson, and robbed a clerk of $44.
Drummond served a 13-year sentence in TDOC custody for aggravated robbery and retaliation for past actions, according to documents found by WREG Investigators. His sentence ended on September 1, 2024.
His criminal history report shows that same day in Lake County, the same place where there’s a state-operated correctional complex, Drummond was hit with gun, drug and contraband charges.
There is now a $15,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
