(BCN) — One adult died and two children were hospitalized after a crash Thursday evening on a busy street in San Mateo, police said.
The collision was reported at the intersection of Alameda de las Pulgas and the Highway 92 on-ramp about 6:20 p.m. The motorist who died and the two children hospitalized were in the same car, police said.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital, police said. Their condition is unknown at this time.
No other information about the crash was immediately available. The eastbound ramps to and from Highway 92 to Alameda de las Pulgas were closed, San Mateo police said.
In addition, Alameda de las Pulgas is closed in both directions between 20th and Barneson avenues. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
