Over $79K in cash, illegal drugs seized in Lafayette bust

LAFAYETTE, LA (KLFY) – A Lafayette man is under arrest after an ongoing narcotics investigation at the 400 block of Ember Grove Crossing resulting in the seizure of over $79,000 in cash, over two pounds of illegal drugs and drug related equipment.

On Tuesday, Javon Robertson, 39, of Lafayette was arrested and booked with the following charges:

  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Adderall
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Hydrocodone
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Xanax
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Transactions Involving Proceeds from Controlled Dangerous Substance Activity

The operation resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs, drug-related equipment and cash, deputies said.

During the search, investigators said they recovered the following:

  • Approximately 1.9 pounds of Marijuana
  • Approximately 820 Adderall pills
  • Approximately 5.3 ounces of Cocaine
  • Approximately 1.5 ounces of Crack Cocaine
  • 18 Hydrocodone pills
  • 20 Xanax pills
  • Two hydraulic brick presses
  • One money counter
  • $79,805.00 in cash
