New Jersey man reported missing in Grand Canyon National Park
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. (ABC4) — National Park Service officials are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 35-year-old New Jersey man who was last heard from more than a week ago.
Officials say Thomas Daniel Gibbs of Freehold, New Jersey, is believed to have been in the Grandview Trail and Horseshoe Mesa area on Tuesday, July 22. He was last heard from at around noon that day.

Gibbs’ family and friends reported him missing on Monday, July 28, prompting a search from park rangers. His vehicle, a Tesla Cybertruck, was found the same day in the Grandview Point parking lot on the South Rim.
Gibbs is described as being a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is approximately six feet and one inch.
Park rangers are asking anyone who was in the Grandview Trail area on or around July 22 and who may have Gibbs or has any information on his whereabouts to contact the NPS Investigative Service Branch Tip Line.
