Mountain Home Reports Modest Sales Tax Gains for July

The City of Mountain Home reported an increase in sales tax collections for the month, which reflect the sales in May, with several categories seeing year-over-year growth.The city’s general sales tax collections totaled $627,999.72 for the month, up from $604,958.20 in the same month last year – an increase of $23,041.52, or 3.81%. The year-to-date increase stands at $8,563.53, or 0.21%.
Mountain Home’s share of the county sales tax came in at $296,697.36, compared to $280,009.78 collected during the same month last year. That marks a monthly increase of $16,687.58, or 5.96%. The year-to-date total shows a rise of $30,677.03, or 1.63%.

The public safety sales tax brought in $235,499.90 for the month, up $8,640.57 from last year’s $226,859.33 – a 3.81% increase. Year-to-date growth for the public safety tax is $3,211.32, or 0.21%.

The park improvement sales tax generated $313,999.86 this month – exceeding the monthly 2025 bond payment requirement of $218,173.92 by $95,825.94.

Finally, the parks operations sales tax brought in $156,999.93 for the month.

Officials noted that overall trends remain positive, with most categories showing continued year-over-year growth.
