On April 9, 2025, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired at an apartment building on Gardere Lane.

Deputies responded around 5:45 p.m. and found that multiple apartments were hit by bullets, EBRSO said. There were no reported injuries in connection with the shooting.

As the investigation unfolded, deputies learned that an argument between Walker and her sister took place before the shooting, according to the affidavit.

The argument happened in the parking lot, and Walker was accused of threatening to kill her sister.

Walker’s sister said her sibling pointed the gun at a balcony and began shooting, where six people were standing. The Baton Rouge woman then ran away after the shooting.

Investigators found a lot of empty cartridge cases at the scene, along with bullet holes in multiple apartments where people were staying.

EBRSO was able to positively identify Walker as the shooter.

Investigators were able to see video which showed an argument between Walker and the individuals who were on the balcony. EBRSO said the video also showed her shooting towards the balcony and leaving the apartment complex.

The Baton Rouge woman was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Monday, July 28.
