Festival promoters said they were determined to have the festival after the City of Kenner canceled the Hispanic Heritage Festival due to concerns of ICE raids.
“Our festival was an incredible success. A meeting space between the culture and entrepreneurial spirit of our community. A very positive dynamic for our families and friends who enjoy meeting us regardless of the country of origin. An example of citizenship and absolute coexistence in a city full of art and culture, ” said Colombian NOLA Fest producer Dayhanna Velandia.
The festival’s main sponsor was IDEAL Market and was elated to support Colombian heritage and a good time.
Colombia NOLA Festival is organized by the Colombian Association in Louisiana, which was founded in 1980. They thank everyone who showed up to the festival and look forward to the festival’s return in 2026.
