According to court documents, 19-year-old Marvin Jose Vasquez-Martinez has been charged with one count of rape, a Level 3 felony, and one count of child molesting, a Level 3 felony, in relation to an incident in July 2024. Vasquez-Martinez’s last known address was in Indianapolis.
Last month, Vasquez-Martinez was arrested in North Carolina. At the time, officials with the FBI Indianapolis office confirmed that Vasquez-Martinez was “unlawfully present in the United States.”
According to the documents, an officer in Hendricks County was dispatched to an apartment complex in the county on a report of a child molestation in July 2024. An officer spoke with the mother of a 9-year-old.
The child reportedly told the mother that a man, later identified as Vasquez-Martinez, forced the child to perform sexual acts on him. The documents said that the child told his mother the day after the alleged incident, when they were driving out of the state for a vacation.
In an interview, the documents said the child provided law enforcement with details surrounding the incident. The child told officers that Vasquez-Martinez told the child that he liked him, and not to tell his parents about anything that happened. After the reported rape, Vasquez-Martinez exited the bedroom and went to sleep on the couch.
At the time, the officer said in the documents that he attempted to contact Vasquez-Martinez via phone, but was unable to reach him.
