3 in custody after investigation into car burglaries at Port Allen hotel
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Three people are in custody after an investigation into reported vehicle burglaries at a Port Allen hotel along Commercial Drive, according to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the scene at approximately 3:40 a.m. after a report about multiple people breaking into vehicles at that location.
The sheriff’s office took one person into custody at the scene, while others left the scene in a vehicle.
WBRSO said two more people were taken into custody after their vehicle crashed close to the Port of Greater Baton Rouge.
The investigation remains ongoing, and more information will be shared as it becomes available.
