According to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Jeremiah Turner, 18, of Baton Rouge, Donovan Hayes Jr., 23, of Baton Rouge, and a 14-year-old were taken into custody.
While investigating, deputies confirmed the hotels where the burglaries took place were located along the LA 415/Lobdell corridor in Port Allen.
Two guns were reported stolen. A vehicle seen leaving the scene, identified as a Ford Fusion, was later confirmed to have been reported stolen out of Jefferson Parish.
Turner and Hayes were booked into the West Baton Rouge Detention Center on the following charges:
Jeremiah Turner
• 14 counts of aggravated burglary
• 14 counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles
• flight from an officer
• illegal possession of stolen things
Donovan Hayes Jr.
• 14 counts of aggravated burglary
• 14 counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles
As of Tuesday morning, Turner and Hayes remain in custody with no bond set.
The 14-year-old juvenile was taken to a juvenile detention facility and booked on:
• 12 counts of aggravated burglary
“Let this be a clear message: if you come into West Baton Rouge Parish to commit crimes, we will find you and we will hold you accountable,” said Sheriff Jeff Bergeron. “I commend our deputies for their swift work and thank the Port Allen Police Department for their valued assistance in bringing these suspects to justice.”
