SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Multiple lanes were closed in Parley’s Canyon near Milepost 130 after a Semi-truck jackknifed and leaked oil and other fluids.
All three westbound lanes have since reopened and traffic has resumed at a normal pace. However, travelers saw significant delays between 4:07 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. According to Lieutenant Cameron Roden, with the Utah Highway Patrol, a semi-truck jackknifed and was blocking the right lane.
Medical personnel also arrived on scene and blocked off the right and middle lanes.
The driver of the Semi-truck was evaluated on-scene for any injuries. According to Lt. Roden, he may be transported to the hospital. Additionally, the semi-truck was leaking oil and fuel, which required several hours for cleanup.
