PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Multiple people were displaced after a house fire broke out amid scorching temperatures in Adelphi on Friday afternoon.
The Prince George’s County Fire Department (PGFD) was called to a single-family home minutes before 4 p.m. in the 8300 block of Rosette Lane. By the time they arrived, crews noticed visible smoke and fire.

As of 5:30 p.m., the fire was out, and investigators were on scene to try and determine the cause.
Three people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. A total of nine residents, including four adults and five children, were displaced due to the fire.
