Authorities began investigating the suspects after receiving reports of drug delivery in the area in May.
On July 24, officers took Simmons into custody in the 1100 block of Elm Street and found cocaine in his vehicle. The arrest led officials to the 300 block of Avon Street, where they arrested Wells and searched the residence.
Deputies found five pounds of cocaine, two pounds of cocaine and half a pound of heroin, ammunition and large amounts of cash, according to a press release.
Wells is charged with possession of ammunition without a FOID card, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, cocaine and heroin.
Simmons is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and cocaine delivery.
