ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Winnebago County Deputies arrested Jerickoe Simmons, 38, and Cornealious Wells, 49, for allegedly selling large amounts of fentanyl, among other drugs.

Authorities began investigating the suspects after receiving reports of drug delivery in the area in May.

On July 24, officers took Simmons into custody in the 1100 block of Elm Street and found cocaine in his vehicle. The arrest led officials to the 300 block of Avon Street, where they arrested Wells and searched the residence.
