Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce makes shirtless cameo in Happy Gilmore 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The long-awaited sequel to Happy Gilmore hit Netflix Friday, and a familiar face made an appearance.

For a few cameos in Happy Gilmore 2, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce returns to the big screen.

Kelce makes his first appearance in the sequel as a seemingly normal hotel server, seen politely getting an Arnold Palmer for former professional golfer Jack Nicklaus.

His true personality then breaks through when busboy Oscar, played by Bad Bunny, lets him know a guest requested Bombay, not Tanqueray gin, for his drink.

“You told him that was on me, man? You threw me under the bus? Why, so you could be the hero? You took the knife and stabbed me in my back,” Kelce aggressively says to Oscar, who swears he meant no harm.

The character played by Kelce goes on, “I can’t work like this.” “Watching my six. You mess around, you find out,” he threatened.

Oscar frantically responds, “I just meant to help,” but Kelce doesn’t believe him. “You’re fired,” he tells Oscar, then yells in his face and leaves.

After observing the heated conversation at a nearby table, Happy Gilmore, also known as Adam Sandler, asks Kelce why he was a bit “harsh” on Oscar for his mistake.

“Sorry you had to hear that, Mr. Gilmore, but you don’t know the backstory,” Kelce said.

Later in the night, the golfers decide to enter a tournament against a new league of players.

Then, excitement causes Kelce’s character to lose his composure one more time. The whole audience cheers when he gives two players such a hard chest bump that they are flung through a table.

Later, in the movie, Kelce’s character’s temper comes back to haunt him.

Oscar, who is now Happy Gilmore’s caddy, is asked by Happy to picture his own “happy place” in one of his dream sequences, which is when he makes his last appearance of the movie.

He begins to fantasize about tying up Kelce, now only wearing an apron around his lower region, while tied up to a pole inside a garden. Oscar then starts putting honey on him with a paintbrush.

“What is this? Is this about the job? Come on,” Kelce said as Oscar continued to paint honey all over his body.

After Oscar covers him in the honey, a bear appears and attacks Kelce as he screams for help.

Oscar says, “I’m happy now,” after snapping out of the dream. “You were thinking about a bear eating that waiter, weren’t you? Was there honey involved?” Happy asks with a grin. Oscar replies, “Un poquito.”

At the premiere of the movie in New York City on Monday, Sandler told PEOPLE Magazine about how impressed he was with Kelce‘s acting skills.

“Travis and Bunny are ridiculous in it,” He said when PEOPLE asked if anyone “completely surprised” him. He continues, saying, “Every athlete kicks a–.”

Sandler also said that Kelce was “unbelievable” during a Monday appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
