SHENANDOAH – A Shenandoah fire company is prepping for the annual edition of a longtime tradition.
The Rescue Hook and Ladder block party is set for the first weekend in August: August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Taking place alongside the firehouse on East Coal Street, the block party will feature a basket raffle this year in addition to the usual favorites.
Prizes include a pizza oven, a mini waffle maker, Phillies tickets, gift certificates, a TV, Penn State tickets, and much more.
The kitchen opens at 11am Friday, 1pm Saturday, and 2pm Sunday.
Bingo takes place nightly and the fire truck parade rolls off at 7:30pm Friday.
A cornhole tournament is set for Saturday morning. Registration is at 10am and games start at 11am. Cost is $50 a team.
All proceeds benefit the fire company.
