Arrest made as Lafayette police shut down unlicensed massage business
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – Today the Lafayette Police Department announced the arrest of one individual and the shutdown of an unlicensed massage establishment following an operation conducted this afternoon.

Officials said Wei Chen Zhang, 30, was taken into custody for solicitation of sexual acts.

According to authorities, at approximately 3 p.m. today, Lafayette Police conducted an operation at Oasis Massage, located at 1511 Ambassador Caffery Parkway. The operation was initiated in response to numerous complaints regarding the business.

Officials said during the investigation they gathered sufficient evidence to arrest Zhang. Investigations also revealed that Oasis Massage did not possess a valid massage license to operate in Lafayette. The establishment was shut down.
