The new store will be located at 1895 East Rodeo Walk Dr, which is not far away from another Trader Joe’s in Cottonwood Heights. The store has not mentioned an opening date, only saying ‘coming soon’ on their website.
The popular grocery chain now has a total of seven stores along the Wasatch Front, with two stores in Salt Lake City, one in Draper, Cottonwood Heights, Orem, and another upcoming store in Riverdale.
The Riverdale store that is currently under construction is the only store so far in Weber County and is expected to open sometime this year. Though there was initial speculation about the store in March 2024, the chain only confirmed the news in December 2025.
The newest store opened up at Sugar House in October 2024, which was nearly a year after speculation of a new location.
Trader Joe’s has nearly 608 stores across the country and has been in business since 1967.
