The leak stemmed from a six-inch natural gas line as a construction crews’ excavator was working in the area, according to officials.
The public was initially advised to avoid going within a four-block radius of the leak. Enbridge Incorporated, who owns the gas line, contained the leak shortly after 1:30 p.m.
Enbridge crews are still on scene making final repairs to the line, which may cause further traffic delays.
