Argument between two brothers leads to shooting at Cottonwood Heights
COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah (ABC4) — A person was shot inside a house in Cottonwood Heights after an argument, according to Cottonwood Heights Police.
The incident happened near 2085 E Bo Mar Drive shortly after 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Sgt. Kyler Burroughs with Cottonwood Heights Police Department said it was an argument between two brothers. The suspect shot at the victim multiple times, Burroughs said. Police say the victim was able to get outside the home, run across the street, and call 911.
Craig Barkin, the neighbor, recalled seeing the victim in his driveway. He told ABC4, “I hear this ungodly scream. My son was in the room up above the garage and he heard somebody call for help…the kid said his brother shot him.”

According to neighbors, the victim was shot in his arm, shoulder, and one bullet grazed his face.
“His arm was covered in blood. His stomach was covered in blood, and his pants were covered in blood, lying in my driveway,” Craig Barkin, one of the neighbors, noted, “It was not pretty.”
The victim was then taken to the hospital, and officials say he is in stable condition at this time.
A SWAT team also responded to the scene. Police say the suspect cooperated with police and got outside the house. An investigation is underway, and officers are still on scene.
