They also compared the total price of each rental to the average monthly rent in its respective state to determine how many months — or years — of rent the most expensive vacation rental in each state could cover.
Texas’ most expensive vacation rental is a lake estate located in Austin. The average nightly price will run you $40,374. When comparing it to rent, the weekend price of $80,748 could cover 4.3 years (52 months) of average monthly rent of $1,553.
Texas’ most expensive vacation rental ranked 2nd, behind Utah’s mountain estate with a nightly fee of $69,545. Whew.
