According to the sheriff’s office, APSO and the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office received a case from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about pornography involving juveniles.
During an investigation, detectives conducted a search warrant and discovered that Devante Carter, 30, of Gonzales, downloaded multiple videos of child pornography and sexual abuse of an animal.
On July 16, Carter was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on four counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, three counts of sexual abuse of an animal, and possession of pornography involving juveniles.
This is an ongoing investigation.
