Minor coastal flooding is expected during evening high tide for bay shore locations along the San Francisco Bay and San Pablo Bay. Impacts could include flooding of parking lots, parks, and roads. Isolated road closures are also expected.
The weather pattern, according to the NWS, is due to a combination of lunar perigee on Sunday and a new moon on this coming Thursday. The advisory goes into effect at 7 p.m. Monday and will last until 12 a.m. Tuesday.
The NWS advises people not to drive around barricades or through any water of unknown depth.
