Woman rescued from overturned vehicle in Silver Spring

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A woman was taken to the hospital after responders pulled her from a wrecked vehicle in Silver Spring Sunday morning, according to officials.

Just minutes before 7 a.m., crews responded to a collision with one person trapped at the intersection of Colesville Road and University Boulevard. There, they found that two cars had collided and a woman had become trapped inside one of them, according to the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.

Responders rescued the woman from the car and took her to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other car declined medical care, officials noted.
