TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Topeka Police Department reports that one person is dead and another is injured after a shooting incident at a gas station in south Topeka.
At 2:15 a.m., officers responded to a Kwik Shop at 4500 SW Topeka Boulevard for reports of a shooting. The TPD says a man was found suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Another man showed up at the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The TPD reports this is the city’s 11th homicide investigation of 2025.
