The board approved minutes from the June 30 meeting and unanimously adopted a cybersecurity policy presented by Technology Director Shane Lively, following a recommendation from Superintendent Jones.
The board also approved annual food service bids for chemicals, milk, bread, and groceries. Food Service Director Cheyenne Burchfield explained that bids are awarded based on price and product quality, with invoices checked for accuracy.
A general service agreement with the Flippin School District for the shared Food Service Director position for the 2025–2026 school year was approved.
The board authorized the purchase of a lawn mower for $12,824, including a $500 trade-in, and renewed vehicle insurance through the Arkansas Public School Insurance Trust for $14,391.
Elementary Principal Airl Cheek and High School Principal Jarod Jefferson presented the 2025–2026 District Improvement Plans, which were approved.
A Teacher Recruitment and Retention Plan was also adopted. The board approved personnel recommendations, with Russel Duggins abstaining from the vote.
One student transfer from the Mountain Home School District into Cotter was approved.
