Rep. Val Hoyle ‘extremely concerned’ for constituents after spending bill passage

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Congresswoman Val Hoyle represents Oregon’s 4th District, which is the largest coastal district in the state.

It includes Benton, Coos, Curry and Lane counties, as well as the city of Eugene, plus Lincoln and northern Douglas counties.

The congresswoman has been the majority leader in the Oregon House of Representatives and was head of the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries before being elected to Congress in 2022.

Rep. Hoyle joined Eye on Northwest Politics from Washington, D.C., where she shared that she was “extremely concerned” about the recently passed “big, beautiful bill” and the current strategy for Democrats.
