
Saturday saw a chance for severe weather, but the rain isn’t leaving just yet. More storms and cooler temperatures are on the way.
Showers and storms are expected to move in by mid-morning Sunday, with lingering rain through the early afternoon. It will be cooler with highs near 76 degrees.
There is a slight risk of severe weather through 7 a.m., with heavy rain possible that could lead to flooding in some areas.
Beach Hazards Statement
Winds shifting out of the north will stir up Lake Michigan.
A Beach Hazards Statement will be in effect from Lake County to Cook County beginning at 4 a.m. Sunday through 9 a.m. Monday. Waves up to 3 to 5 feet could occur, making swimming dangerous along the shoreline.
