The All-Star edition of IBE’s music festival is set to occur on Friday, July 18, at 6 p.m. at the Indiana University Michael A. Carroll Track & Soccer Stadium.
General admission tickets for the concert can be purchased here.
But the Music Heritage Festival is just one of several events taking place this weekend as part of the Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration.
On Friday until Sunday, from noon until 7 p.m., a health fair is being held at the Indiana Convention Center in halls D and E. The health fair offers $4,000 worth of free health screenings.
The Indiana Convention Center will also host IBE’s “All White Affair” concert on Saturday hosted by actor and producer Larenze Tate. The concert features Kid Capri and “Da Brat.”
Don’t forget to also check out the “Father Knows Best Basketball Clinic” hosted by former NBA player Allan Houston. The event helps create stronger bonds between fathers and daughters through basketball.
“There’s a lot of culture that goes on here, and it’s important we support and keep the culture going, get the knowledge to the young people. If we don’t support it, it kind of dies out,” said Ronald Tucker, who was attending IBE on Friday.

“When you think about 54 years of celebrating and being a voice of the voiceless in our community, that’s what the Indiana Black Expo has always been about,” said Amp Harris, a promoter for IBE.
